Dr. Mark Niemiec was raised in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas Health & Science Center Dental School in 1994. His first four years in practice were at the Health Centers of Northern New Mexico in Peñasco and has been in private practice in Taos since 1998. Dr. Niemiec completed advanced studies and is a scholar with the Dawson Academy, a renowned program focusing on occlusion (how the teeth work together) and jaw function. He also completed advanced training at the University of Southern California for complex surgical procedures, including implant placement and bone grafts. In his free time, Dr. Niemiec enjoys being outdoors, snowmobiling in the winter and ATVs in the summer, and working in the yard. He also enjoys traveling and scuba diving. Dr. Niemiec actively serves in his church and enjoys helping people. In the office, he is more than competent in all areas of dentistry, and is a personable and caring provider.

Cheryl is the wife of Dr. Niemiec (since 1986.) Cheryl is a graduate of Rice University with a bachelor of music, and an MBA from Fitchburg State University. Cheryl has experience with administration and records as well as bookkeeping. She oversees the operations of the office and is happy to be available if you have any concerns. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying new Keto recipes, and helping out with church activities.

Lucy is a UNM graduate with an AAS and a BA in Arts. She also has certificates in Holistic Health/Healing Arts and Business Computers. Lucy has been a part of our office family since 2015 and is our resident expert in all things insurance. When she is not at work, she loves live music and dancing to all genres, and socializing with friends. Her adorable, mostly-German Shepherd rescue dog Sydney keeps life at home interesting and lively.

Evenlyn is fully certified in Radiography, Coronal Polishing, Fluoride, and Sealants. Having grown up in Peru, she brings energy and color to the office, and speaks fluent Spanish and English. In her free time she enjoys snowboarding in winter, hiking in the summer, and going to the gym year around. In her quiet moments, Evelyn likes to read manga comics and spend time with friends and her cat, Misty.

Antoinetter plays an important role in our office in that she is a fully-trained Dental Assistant, certified in radiography, and Scheduling Coordinator. She is friendly and caring, and genuinely willing to help out wherever she is needed. Antoinette graduated from the UNM Taos Dental Assisting program and has been with our office since 2016. During her time off she enjoys spending time with her “greatest blessings,” her children and her dog, Lux. She also enjoys working on her fitness, spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, and shopping for the newest styles.

Crystal works hard assisting the hygienists, keeping our patients up-to-date with their dental cleanings, and is working toward her radiography certificate. Crystal is an authentic, adaptable, adventure-loving, laughter-seeking wife, mother, friend and follower of Jesus. She loves nature in any capacity including hiking, biking, rafting, camping, and snowshoeing. Spending quality time with her husband, 3 children, and multiple fur babies more than fulfills her need for hugs and kisses. She enjoys making new friends and is excited to make your experience here a great one.

Originally from Taos, Marrisa is friendly and comforting to her patients, and is close to fully earning her radiography certification. She loves learning new things and enjoys working with her team to help her patients maintain and achieve beautiful and healthy smiles. In her free time you can find her with her family, driving around town, spending time outdoors and with her animals.

Celeste is a long-time Dental Hygienist in New Mexico (ABQ and Santa Fe) and has been with our office since 2022. She has her BS in Biology and Dental Hygiene, and a Master’s degree in Nutrition/Health Education and Administration. When Celeste is not working, she enjoys travel, fine dining, the arts of all kinds, and dancing.
